When Pol’e Pol’e debuted in 2002, it
received wide critical acclaim within the International Film
Festival circuit. The documentary about climbing to the summit
of Mount Kilimanjaro had universal appeal, and was a symbol of
unity and compassion at a time when the world was still reeling
from the terrorist bombings of September 11th.
